About Me

Hey y'all,

My name is Jake Jensen.  I am 24 years old and a first-year law student at Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth, TX.  I graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors in Latin American Studies and a minor in Communications.  I married the most wonderful girl, Breanne, on April 11, 2014 and I am so lucky to call her my wife.  Along with a few of my greatest friends, we started the company, Utah Valley Connections LLC - a company that provides many different services -  which has been doing really well.  I love my friends and family and would do anything for them.  I love sports and love playing both tennis and football.  I play the piano and I enjoy most music, especially country.  I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and it is one of the greatest things in my life.  Its teachings have helped me so much in my life and are what guide me throughout my day.  I mention these things about me because I feel like before one can truly appreciate what I have to say they need to know me and understand how I tick.

Recently, in one of my classes my professor took some time out of our regular class in order to talk to us about our law careers after law school.  He told us that we need to pursue our passions and help those that share our passions with legal advice.  Since that class, I have had a strong feeling to chase my passion, even though it is completely different than what I came to law school to pursue.  As many of you know, my passion is movies.  I love taking an escape from my daily routine and exploring new worlds.  Well I have now decided that I am going to take my passion of film and my passion for law and blend them together. My new goal is pursue Film Law.

So, now that I say that, what does that mean for my blog.  First off, I will be posting movie reviews hopefully every week still (depends on my schedule, my interests, and what y'all want to hear about). However, now I will also be posting about different events that I participate in and comment on different areas of law that filmmakers have to understand before releasing a film.  I will also be commenting on different legal issues that are happening in the film industry today.  I want to share my passion with all of you.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
